FDA-cleared collagen induction therapy that uses precise micro-injuries to stimulate your skin's natural healing response. Clinically proven results for scars, fine lines, and uneven texture.
SkinPen is the first FDA-cleared microneedling device. Its precision-controlled needles create thousands of micro-channels in the skin at an exact, consistent depth. This controlled injury triggers the body's wound-healing cascade, producing new collagen and elastin in the treated areas.
SkinPen microneedling treats acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles, large pores, uneven skin texture, stretch marks, and overall skin laxity. It can be performed on the face, neck, decolletage, and body. When combined with PRP, the growth factors are driven into the micro-channels for significantly enhanced results.
Most clients see meaningful improvement after a series of 3 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart. Acne scarring typically requires 6 or more sessions. Results continue building for 3 to 6 months after each treatment as new collagen matures. Annual maintenance sessions sustain long-term improvement.
Stop retinoids and active exfoliants 1 week before your appointment. Do not schedule if you have active acne breakouts or skin infections in the treatment area. Topical numbing cream is applied 45 minutes before the procedure. Arrive clean-faced with no makeup.
With numbing in place, the SkinPen device is moved in multiple directions across the treatment area. The needles penetrate at a precise controlled depth. You will feel a mild scratching or vibrating sensation. Some pinpoint bleeding in the treatment area is normal and expected. The session takes 30 to 45 minutes.
Skin looks and feels like a mild sunburn for 24 to 48 hours after treatment. Mild dryness and light flaking may occur on days 2 to 5. Resume normal skincare at day 3, avoiding actives. Wear SPF daily. Space sessions 4 weeks apart to allow complete healing and collagen production before the next treatment.
